Responders onscene of a barn fire in the 1600 block of 16th Street in Barron. Passing motorists are asked to avoid the area until all emergency crews have cleared the scene.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Barron County from 6:00PM Friday evening until 7:00AM Saturday. 2-4 inches of snow expected, with accompanied slick roads and reduced visibility.

We've been expecting this all year, the dreaded first day of snow. No matter how much technology your vehicle has, it's only as good as the small rubber footprints that touch the pavement. Icy roads decrease traction and increase the risk of a collision. We're starting to respond to minor accidents throughout the county so please slow down and add braking distance between cars in front of you. Your family wants you to get home safely, and so do we...

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Barron County from noon to 10PM on Wednesday. Snow expected, with 3-4 inches of accumulation. Plan on slippery road conditions during Wednesday's evening commute and allow extra time to safely make it to your destination.
