
Two Approaching Storms
Posted: Thursday, February 22 2018 at 0914 Hrs We're expecting two rounds of snow over the next few days. The first will be later today, and will be less significant than the weekend system. Generally 2-4" of snow is expected for most areas, with a few spots picking up 5". The weekend storm (starting Saturday afternoon and ending Sunday afternoon) has potential to put down a swath of 6-10" of snow in the narrow heavy band. Training Announcement
The Barron County Sheriff's Department Office of Emergency Services is hosting a no-cost two-day training program that addresses preparedness for and response to bombing incidents and blast effects. This will be held on Thursday, March 22nd and Friday, March 23rd at the Justice Center in Barron. Target audience is law enforcement, hospital staff, ems, fire, nurses, EOD, emergency management, public health, first responders, etc. Continuing education hours are outlined on the
